We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation and ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the culinary arts and eager to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. Ensure that all dishes, pots, and pans are washed and stored properly. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking as needed. Help with the organisation of stock and supplies in the kitchen. Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in receiving deliveries and storing food items appropriately.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality is essential. Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues. Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities as required.
