Jesmond Dene House is an award-winning 4 Red Star, 2 Rosette, hotel, restaurant and bar situated in a leafy suburb of Jesmond, 5 minutes from Newcastle City Centre.
Please note that this role comes with Service Charge entitlement in addition to hourly pay. See Company for further details. This is a FULL TIME ROLE minimum 32 hour contract, likely to generally work around 40 hours per week, working 5 days our of 7. Please do not apply if you can only work part time.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils to the highest standards.
Operate dishwashers and ensure all crockery, cutlery, and kitchen tools are cleaned and stored correctly.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation and delivery of supplies where required.
Manage waste disposal and recycling safely and efficiently.
Support the kitchen team in maintaining food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant environment is an advantage, though full training will be provided.
Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
A team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures (training can be provided).
