We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality and culinary sectors, particularly within hotels and restaurants.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, ensuring all ingredients are ready for use. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure all kitchen areas are kept tidy and hygienic, adhering to health and safety regulations. Support chefs and cooks by providing assistance during busy service periods. Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper stock rotation to minimise waste. Dispose of waste appropriately and assist with recycling efforts within the kitchen. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive working environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; we welcome applicants eager to learn. A basic understanding of food preparation techniques is beneficial. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a willingness to help others in a team-oriented environment. A passion for culinary arts and an interest in pursuing a career within the hospitality industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
