Summary

We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our experienced and friendly catering team.?

Working under the direction of the Head Chef, the Kitchen Porter is primarily responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of the main Kitchen production and service equipment and the cleaning of the Kitchen and Servery areas.?

While some experience in a similar role would be advantageous, full training will be provided as well as manual handling instructions / Safe Working Practice / H.C.C.P / C.O.S.H.H. We are seeking someone with high standards of order and hygiene, who works with efficiency and as a team player.

We are recruiting urgently for this position, please note this is being run as a rolling recruitment process. We will be assessing applications, shortlisting and offering interviews as the applications are received. The job will close once a candidate has been appointed.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently. Help with stock rotation and inventory management. Ensure all waste is disposed of properly and recycling practices are followed.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Understanding of health and safety regulations in food handling. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment as part of a team. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work.
