Introduction

MACK operates nationwide, delivering essential accommodation, catering and laundry services. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to learn more about the culinary arts in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

Dishwashing: Washing and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, cutlery and other kitchenware. Cleaning: Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment by cleaning work surfaces, floors, equipment, and storage areas. Waste Management: Ensuring Proper disposal of waste and recycling Inventory and storage: Assisting with receiving and storing deliveries, organizing stock. Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring kitchen equipment such as dishwasher, grease trap is clean and in good order Following instructions: Adhering to cleaning schedules and following instructions from chefs. Safety and Hygiene: Maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment by following food safety regulations (SFS) and proper cleaning procedures Teamwork: Working Collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous Knowledge of a kitchen environment. Time management skills, completing task effectively and on schedule. Organizational Skills. Time Management skills, completing tasks effectively and on schedule. Attention to detail, ensuring all areas are thoroughly cleaned to a high standard. Good Understanding of food hygiene and safety.

Shift/Work Patter:

40 hours per week 5 days per week 8 hours per day
