Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs, including chopping, peeling, and washing ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised and tidy. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly to support the cooking process. Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper rotation and labelling to maintain freshness. Dispose of waste correctly and assist with recycling efforts in accordance with health and safety regulations. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing additional assistance as needed. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic culinary skills or knowledge of food preparation techniques would be advantageous. Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration within the hospitality sector. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business needs. A genuine interest in pursuing a career within the culinary field is desirable.
