Duties

Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Support chefs during service by ensuring all necessary utensils and ingredients are readily available. Help with the cleaning of kitchen equipment and appliances to ensure they are in good working order. Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food supplies. Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by collaborating effectively with kitchen staff.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining cleanliness standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are vital for success in this role.
