Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen. Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the organisation of food storage areas, ensuring that ingredients are labelled and stored correctly. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff. Assist with waste management and recycling efforts within the kitchen.

Experience

Previous experience in a culinary or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn. A basic understanding of food preparation techniques is beneficial. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen. A positive attitude towards helping others, particularly cooks and chefs, is highly valued.
