Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen by ensuring cleanliness and assisting with food preparation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, ensuring ingredients are ready for cooking. Help with basic cooking tasks as required, under the supervision of experienced kitchen staff. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support the team during busy service periods by helping with serving and plating dishes. Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of hygiene at all times. Assist in stock management by helping to receive deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. A keen interest in food preparation, cooking, and culinary arts is highly desirable. Experience in restaurants, hotels, or other hospitality settings is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff.
