Kitchen Porter

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Porter, you are essential to the smooth running of our kitchen. Your main duties will include:

Washing Up:

Operating the dishwasher and washing pots, pans, and utensils by hand efficiently and quickly.

Cleaning & Sanitation:

Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen, including floors, walls, surfaces, and kitchen equipment.

Supporting the Chefs:

Assisting the kitchen team with basic food prep (e.g., peeling vegetables) and ensuring they have the clean tools and equipment they need.

Rubbish & Recycling:

Managing waste, including clearing bins and maintaining the refuse area.

Stock & Deliveries:

Assisting with the organisation of deliveries, stock rotation, and putting goods away in storage areas.

Equipment Maintenance:

Ensuring all washing-up machinery is clean and maintained correctly.
What We're Looking For

Hard Worker:

A strong work ethic and the ability to handle physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy items (e.g., crates, large pot stacks).

Reliable & Punctual:

Someone who shows up on time and is committed to their shifts.

Team Player:

Ability to take direction and work well within a dynamic, diverse team.

Organized:

A good eye for detail and the ability to maintain a systematic and efficient washing area.

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus, but

not essential
