We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen teams. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness and assisting with food preparation.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, ensuring that ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking. Help with the storage and organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained in good working order. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times. Assist in disposing of waste and recycling materials appropriately.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential. Basic food preparation skills are desirable, with a willingness to learn more about culinary techniques. Strong organisational skills to maintain an efficient workflow within the kitchen. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. A positive attitude towards helping others in a busy environment, demonstrating excellent teamwork skills. Understanding of health and safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen operations.

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
