Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic

Kitchen Porter

to support the kitchen team in delivering a high-quality experience that ensures we are guest focused with a professional & personal feel. If you enjoy being in a fast-paced environment and being independent in your work, then you will be well suited to this role. Being well organised with good communication skills is important but so is your ability or willingness to engage with our guests around the hotel.




The working pattern for this role is flexible up to 5 out of 7 days. Full-time and part-time hours available.

Kitchen Porter




Our kitchen porters are a pivotal support role in the kitchen, as they ensure that the Chefs are set up for success and that the overall space remains clean and tidy. For our guests the kitchen porters ensure that every piece of crockery and meal presentation equipment is sparklingly clean and available when needed. This is a varied role with development of cooking and food preparation skills available.




About the Business




Knoll House is located in Studland, Dorset, renowned for being one the most dramatic and sensitive landscapes in the UK. With a fascinating history and originally built as a summer house for the Banks family, Knoll was first operated as a hotel in 1939 and was an instant success.




The hotel has 70 rooms, together with a full-service bar and restaurant and a whole host of other family friendly facilities including a pool, cinema room and outdoor play areas which make a stay at Knoll full of memories that last a lifetime. There is such a diversity of facilities available that Knoll House attracts guests from all walks of life and being dog-friendly means that whether guests want to explore the coast and local area or relax in the lounge and grounds onsite there is space for everyone to have a unique break and our team are always on hand to add a personal touch.




As the latest guardians of this treasured property, there are plans for some development and we are committed to transforming Knoll to a five-star resort while recognising those halcyon days of seaside holidays gone by.

Renumeration




Basic salary: 12.21 per hour
