The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area. Duties
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces, adhering to health and safety standards.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment efficiently.
Help organise storage areas for food supplies and kitchen tools.
Support chefs and cooks during busy service periods by ensuring they have the necessary tools and ingredients at hand.
Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain a tidy work environment.
Follow all hygiene regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary setting is advantageous but not essential.
A keen interest in hospitality and willingness to learn about food preparation processes is highly valued.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
A proactive attitude towards helping colleagues and contributing to the overall success of the kitchen team.
