The Kitchen Porter/Assistant Role
Our busy kitchen team need more help. We
need candidates with previous experience in a large, busy professional kitchen
. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will be encouraged to learn from the chefs and help where necessary, and if you are passionate about food, you may wish to progress within the team to become a chef yourself!
Ensuring all cutlery, crockery and glassware is professionally cleaned before and after use and ensure all service areas are kept clean, tidy and safe.
Cleaning of all cooking utensils as required by the culinary team during the preparation (mis-en-place) and service times.
Cleaning of kitchen work areas during and after use and removal of kitchen waste to the appropriate area.
Assisting with the set up and clear down of your area, ready for the next service.
Being polite, prompt, reliable and friendly to all colleagues.
Exceptional standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
Operating cleaning machinery as shown and trained in accordance with company policy.
Comply with all company and unit policies with regards to Health & Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling and COSHH.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Located just minutes off J16 M4 (between Bath and Reading). Sitting between Royal Wootton Bassett, Swindon, and Marlborough. Our facilities include two beautiful function rooms, a large restaurant, bar, and multiple lounge areas offering family meals, drinks with friends, relaxed brunches, lunches, and suppers. We also have a large south facing balcony and patio areas.
Our restaurant is busy and has received great reviews. We pride ourselves on offering a wide selection of dishes made with high quality produce, exclusively made in house. We are currently open for Breakfast and Lunch (including Sunday Lunch) seven days a week and for Dinner three nights a week.
