We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, supporting our chefs in food preparation, and ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the hospitality industry and eager to learn more about culinary practices within a restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food items under the guidance of chefs. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients to facilitate efficient food preparation. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed. Dispose of waste correctly and ensure recycling practices are followed. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Full weekday and weekend availability. A strong willingness to learn. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards helping others. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks. Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
