Job Overview

We are seeking 2 dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porters to join our dynamic team. Both roles are casual, one role will average 16-30 hours per week, one will average between 30-40 hours per week. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced culinary environment, whether you have prior restaurant, hotel, or culinary experience or are eager to learn.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation tasks under the guidance of chefs and kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking as required. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to ensure freshness of ingredients. Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment at all times. Assist with serving food during busy periods when necessary.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary setting is preferred but not essential. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers. Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
