We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation for food preparation and service. Responsibilities
Clean and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors.
Support the organisation of the kitchen by ensuring all areas are tidy and well-stocked.
Dispose of waste materials responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
Help with the movement of supplies and ingredients around the kitchen as needed.
Maintain health and safety standards in line with company policies.
Support serving staff during busy periods by providing clean crockery and cutlery.
Requirements
Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential.
Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards is desirable.
Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or culinary environments is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and safety.
Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, or public holidays as required. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to develop their skills within a professional kitchen setting.
