Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team at Meadow Croft Garden Centre. Located in Essex, this role is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that our restaurant continues to deliver 5-star service to our valued customers.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils. Ensure the kitchen area is kept clean and organized at all times. Support chefs with food preparation tasks as needed. Manage waste disposal and recycling in accordance with health regulations. Help maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and report shortages. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take direction. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Basic understanding of food hygiene practices.
