Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained. Keep the kitchen area clean and tidy, including washing dishes, pots, and pans promptly. Organise and store kitchen supplies and equipment efficiently to facilitate smooth operations. Support chefs during busy service periods by helping with basic cooking tasks when needed. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. Dispose of waste correctly and assist in maintaining a safe working environment. Help with deliveries and stock rotation to ensure freshness of ingredients.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques would be advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with kitchen staff. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
