Proposed rate is currently at the minimum wage, but open to negotiations.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and hardworking Kitchen Porter / Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness and organisation, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables and handling ingredients under the supervision of chefs. Collect and dispose of food waste and rubbish in accordance with health and safety regulations. Help with deliveries and stock rotation, ensuring that all items are stored correctly. Support kitchen staff during busy service periods, including replenishing supplies as needed. Maintain a tidy and organised workspace, following all food safety and hygiene procedures. Participate in deep cleaning and other cleaning tasks as directed by management.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Work Schedule:

We have a full-time position available with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
