Job Description

As KITCHEN PORTER - you will be responsible for delivering exceptional standards of housekeeping and support throughout the Department. You will be competent and efficient in all aspects of the role.

Your working areas will include Kitchen and Pot Wash and also Front of House clearing and cleaning of tables, restocking of crockery and cutlery plus any other duties in order to maintain efficiency throughout daily service.

You will work over a 2 week rota to include alternate weekends, as detailed below;

WK 1 - 16 to 24 HOURS - MONDAY, THURSDAY & FRIDAY 08:45 - 17:15

WK2 - 31 - 39 HOURS - MONDAY, THURSDAY & FRIDAY 08:45 - 17:15, SATURDAY 08:45 - 17:15 & SUNDAY 09:30 - 17:00

THE ROLE

Support the retail operation throughout the Company To demonstrate the highest standards of housekeeping in the Department To support the Kitchen and Front of House Team Demonstrate competent cleaning skills working within strict time frames To ensure all daily tasks are completed efficiently and to standard Maintain an efficient through put in Pot Wash to ensure replenishment of cutlery, crockery etc for Front of House To ensure compliance with waste separation and disposal following Company practices To support deliveries and replenishment of store room stock following Company practices To support the deep clean schedule as required Support Front of House clearing trays and cleaning tables Use of equipment, reporting maintenance issues to the Head Chef Demonstrate excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues Maintain strict compliance with EHO / H&S standards and current legislation Demonstrate compliance with all existing company systems, procedures, work practices and housekeeping To be aware of the basic security policies and procedures and report issues as they arise

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Good standard of education to a minimum of GCSE level or equivalent

Previous experience of working in a similar role - beneficial

Level 2 Food Safety Award - beneficial

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
