Responsibilities:
Washing all utensils and equipment as per the designated cleaning schedules to meet the required standard.
Ensuring all hand wash stations and chemical dosing points are topped up to ensure a continuous supply of chemicals and blue towels.
To collect and remove waste in a hygienic manner.
To clean and sterilize factory processing areas and equipment as per the cleaning procedures, and complete the appropriate paperwork on a daily/weekly/periodic basis.
To behave in a clean and hygienic manner at all times that does not the food safety, legality and quality of the products.
To bring to the attention of a senior member of staff any situation that may compromise food safety, legality and quality, such as the discovery of unfit or out of date food, any contamination risk or any pest sighting.
To maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, particularly in relation to dress, head gear, frequent hand washing and use of antibacterial gels.
To ensure that they only enter areas of food production for which they are authorised, and only do so after dressing in the appropriate protective clothing.
Must participate in all food hygiene training as requested within work time.
Complete all other tasks as reasonably requested.
Skills required:
Must be hard working and reliable, this is a physically demanding work environment.
Experience in a food manufacturing environment would be beneficial
Good communication skills.
Flexible approach to work in relation to shift working and additional hours during busy periods.
This role is based in a very busy production unit, hence should be able to handle pressure and work as a team.
