We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, assisting with food preparation, and supporting our staff.

You must be flexible and able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, cooking equipment. And refrigerator units Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by the owner including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Support cooking staff during service by ensuring all necessary items are readily available. Help with the organisation of storage areas, ensuring that all food items are stored correctly and safely. Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Maintain a tidy work area throughout the shift, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist with any additional tasks as required by the kitchen management team. This position requires previous experience

Qualifications

Previous kitchen experience is essential; a willingness to learn is key. Experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is advantageous. Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is beneficial. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality and delivering excellent service is essential.
