We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency while assisting with food preparation and service. Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Support cooking staff by ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are readily available. Help with the serving of food during meal times, ensuring high standards of presentation. Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining high hygiene standards throughout the kitchen. Assist with stock rotation and inventory management to ensure fresh ingredients are always used. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods. Receiving and storing deliveries. Helping with waste management and recycling.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is preferred but not essential. Basic culinary skills or experience in food preparation is advantageous. A strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. A genuine interest in hospitality and a passion for food service. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
