Overview

We are looking for a reliable and hard-working

Kitchen Porter

to join our kitchen team. As a key part of the back-of-house operations, you'll play an essential role in keeping our kitchen clean, organised, and running smoothly.

This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is looking for

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained. Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes, pots, and pans, and ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Support chefs and cooks by providing necessary ingredients and tools during meal service. Dispose of waste correctly and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to ensure freshness of ingredients. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods. Support chefs and front-of-house teams as needed

Experience

A basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices is advantageous. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting. A passion for culinary arts and hospitality, with a willingness to assist others in their tasks. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff. Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work efficiently under pressure Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends

Pay: 12.21-14.42 per hour
