Summary
As a Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, supporting the kitchen staff in food preparation and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Reporting to the Head Chef, your role involves assisting with cooking, serving, and ensuring that kitchen operations run smoothly. Your relevant skills in restaurant and culinary experience will be invaluable in delivering high-quality service. Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation by washing, chopping, and organizing ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
Support chefs and kitchen staff during meal service by ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
Handle kitchen equipment and utensils safely and efficiently.
Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a hygienic work environment.
Collaborate with team members to enhance overall kitchen operations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting
Strong food preparation and cooking skills
Knowledge of hospitality and service standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in food handling
