We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a vibrant restaurant environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-equipped for food preparation. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary field within the hospitality sector.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or cooks. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the delivery and storage of supplies as needed. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing additional assistance where required. Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality is desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Good communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff.
