Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils Support chefs and kitchen staff during service by providing assistance as needed Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards Participate in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, but not essential Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills would be advantageous Experience in restaurants, hotels, or other hospitality settings is beneficial Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to providing high-quality service
