to join our hotel's kitchen team. As a vital part of the back-of-house operation, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, supporting chefs, and ensuring a safe and organized environment for food preparation and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the kitchen and service areas are clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Wash and sanitize all crockery, cutlery, utensils, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment or by hand
Clean kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors, walls, and storage areas regularly
Assist chefs with basic food preparation when needed (e.g., peeling, chopping vegetables)
Manage waste disposal and recycling according to hotel policies
Unload and store food deliveries, checking for quantity and quality
Restock cleaning supplies and alert supervisors of any shortages or maintenance needs
Support the kitchen team in ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
Work closely with the wider food and beverage team to ensure smooth service delivery
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role or busy kitchen is desirable but not essential
Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment
Good time-management and organizational skills
Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety standards (training can be provided)
Strong team spirit and a positive, proactive attitude
