Overview

We are looking to recruit Kitchen Porters to work for our clients in the Leeds area. We need people who are hardworking, reliable and have excellent communication skills, flexible attitude at all times. Able to work on own and as a team player. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and organisation while assisting the Chefs.

You will be working a 5 over 7 day weekly rota shift times vary depending on requirements of the business.

Shifts: 07.00am-14.30pm, 12.00pm-19.30pm,14.00pm-19.00pm,15.30pm - 19.30pm. Shifts vary depending on requirements of service.

Duties to include:

Working in the pan wash kitchen area manually cleaning pots and pans

Operate dishwasher, ensuring that all crockery and utensils are clean and placed in the appropriate storage area after cleaning.

Empty and clean dishwasher at the end of service and ensure area including underneath and behind equipment is clean.

Clean in a safe manner, heavy duty kitchen equipment including ovens and fryers, store area, cookers and fridges.

Clean kitchen following a daily & weekly cleaning rota.

Empty Tray racks in Restaurant area ensuring areas clean and tidy.

Ensure rubbish is removed to external bins at regular intervals throughout the day.

Conduct all cleaning necessary to meet the University standard, adhering fully to the designated cleaning schedule.

Carry any reasonable request of your line manager or supervisor.

Essential:

Level 2 Food Safety will be required.

Previous Food preparation work, chopping vegetables, traying food items etc

Previous work history working in a large scale catering operation an advantage or similar scale.

Excellent communication skills and able to work on own

Good organisational skills and excellent time keeping & attendance.
