Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces throughout the shift. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items efficiently to support kitchen operations. Help with stock rotation and organisation of supplies to ensure freshness and accessibility. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous but not essential. Basic food preparation skills and an understanding of cooking techniques are beneficial. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for hospitality and a desire to learn more about culinary practices.
