Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and running smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to develop their skills in the culinary field.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks as required. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and properly stored after use. Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by assisting with various tasks as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in maintaining inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
