Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained. Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly. Support the culinary team by delivering ingredients and supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and appliances, ensuring they are in good working order. Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise food waste. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for the culinary field is key. A willingness to learn and help within a team-oriented environment. Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively under pressure. Good communication skills to liaise with kitchen staff efficiently. A passion for food preparation and a desire to develop culinary skills further. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
