We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team as we approach our busiest time of the year! This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and FOH staff to deliver excellent service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to develop their skills within the hospitality industry. This paid position offers valuable experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, and customer service.
Duties
Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness standards are met
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
Supporting the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to maintain hygiene standards
Restocking supplies and organising storage areas for efficiency
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
Supporting the team during busy service periods by ensuring the kitchen remains organised and well-stocked
Adhering to all health and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment
Skills
Previous experience in a cafe environment is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
Knowledge of food preparation and cooking processes is beneficial
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and hygiene standards within hospitality settings
Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy service times
A positive attitude towards hospitality service and customer satisfaction

Pay: 12.22-12.33 per hour
