Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking as required. Help with inventory management by storing supplies and notifying management of low stock levels. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times. Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is advantageous. Experience in hospitality or hotel settings will be beneficial for understanding the fast-paced nature of the role. A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn are essential traits for success in this position. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are highly valued.
