About Us:

We pride ourselves on offering a memorable guest experience, blending traditional character with modern Scottish hospitality.

We're now seeking a

practical, hard-working Kitchen Porter / Maintenance Assistant

to support both the kitchen and general upkeep of the hotel.

Your Role:

This is a varied role combining

kitchen support

and

light maintenance tasks

. You'll play a vital part in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and helping ensure the hotel is well-presented and functional.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist chefs by washing dishes, pots, and utensils efficiently Keep kitchen, storage, and back of house areas clean and tidy Carry out basic maintenance and repair tasks (painting, minor fixes, changing bulbs, etc.) Help with deliveries, storage, and stock rotation Support the team with occasional heavy lifting or odd jobs around the hotel Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience as a

kitchen porter, handyman, or in a similar role

(preferred but not essential) A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to "muck in" Basic DIY or maintenance skills A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team Reliability, punctuality, and pride in your work Flexibility to help in different areas of the hotel when needed.
