one of Lurgan's most respected cafes is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter/Runner to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the Kitchen and Front of House staff by ensuring cleanliness and organisation across all areas of the business.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and main cafe area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use Support Front of House staff during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed, such as running tables, clearing tables and taking orders Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling practices are followed. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in hospitality and customer service. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
Our opening hours are 9am - 3.30pm Monday to Saturday with Sunday opening planned for 2026 - and this job would generally be 11am-4pm a few days a week. Weekend and weekday availability is essential.

Part time - 10-20 hours approximately.

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
