Fidela Coffee Roasters is an established coffee roastery & coffee bar on the North Coast of Ireland, based in Coleraine. We have been exporting green coffee since 2016, and opened our coffee roastery in March of 2020, but our connection goes right the way back to origin.

Due to continued business growth we are seeking to employ a Kitchen Person at our roastery & coffee bar in Coleraine.

An ideal candidate for this position will have a genuine interest and passion for simple but delicious food. The candidate should have experience in similar cooking environments, with an interest in developing and curating the menu bringing new ideas to the table. The candidate should be creative in producing great food in a small kitchen environment, curating the menu to suit the size of the kitchen.

Job Location: Fidela Coffee Roasters, 9a Newmills Road, Coleraine, BT52 2JR

Job Hours and length: Full time, permanent - this role will include weekends, we currently operate a rolling rota of weekends off. If you are unable to work weekends, this role may not be suitable for you.

Interviews: please note, following a verbal interview, the candidate will be expected to carry out a practical interview to assess their suitability

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Preparation of food

Cooking and serving dishes to agreed standards

Delivering excellent customer service

Daily kitchen cleaning

Controlling stock levels

Responsible for all aspects of Food Safety record keeping, including allergen control

Qualifications & Skills

Level 1, 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate Excellent verbal and written communication skills Problem solving skills Strong organisational skills Works well under pressure Adaptable to change Coaching skills Hold a full UK (or transferable) driving licence

Additional Information

Whilst this role's primary responsibility involves kitchen roles the successful applicant will be expected to carry out an extensive range of roles and responsibilities in the cafe. Where applicable, the appropriate training will be provided to the individual..
