Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated team member to join our kitchen over the busy period Christmas period. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, meal service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a fast-paced restaurant environment, contributing to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Hours can be discussed to suit both parties.

Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and food assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards Support the kitchen team in cooking and plating dishes efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations Help with food safety procedures, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices Serve food to customers in a courteous and professional manner when required Assist with inventory management and stock rotation to minimise waste Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with service as needed

Skills

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable Strong knowledge of meal preparation and food safety standards Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Basic culinary experience or kitchen experience preferred but not essential; willingness to learn is important Knowledge of food preparation techniques and serving procedures is advantageous

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21 per hour
