Our company, Acorn Health & Leisure Ltd, took over the management and running of the East Grinstead Sports Club with effect Feb 1st 2023. Having settled in we are now actively looking to build on our food operations to service our customers and to compliment the coffee and sports bar which has already taken off since its launch. The club is located at RH19 4JU a mile to the southwest of East Grinstead.
The East Grinstead Sports Club is home to a number of different substantial top-flite sporting clubs that include hockey, football, cricket, netball, squash and badminton. The gym that we recently rebuilt was awarded Gym of the Year a few months ago at the National Fitness Awards. As well as those clubs based here there are many other clubs and local schools who use our facilities week in and week out.
We are now employing Kitchen Assistant who will prepare and expedite dishes from the kitchen at the East Grinstead Sports Club. Both full-time and part-time staff will be considered with variable hours across the whole week including weekends
Responsibilities
Assisting with food preparation and cooking tasks.
Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
Washing dishes, pots, and pans, ensuring they are returned clean and ready for use.
Assisting with stock rotation and keeping the kitchen organized.
Supporting kitchen staff during busy periods and helping with various kitchen duties as required.
Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Requirements and skills
Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential.
Good communication skills and a team player.
Flexibility with working hours, that will include evenings and weekends.
A passion for food and a willingness to learn.
