Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Support the cooking team by preparing ingredients, including chopping vegetables and marinating proteins. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Help with catering events as required, ensuring timely delivery of food items. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency in food preparation. Participate in regular training sessions on culinary techniques and food safety practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential. Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation is advantageous. Understanding of food safety standards and practices is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business needs.
