Beardsley's is an independent village Tearoom with a small and friendly team. We have been steadily growing in both seating capacity and repeat custom since opening our doors over 8 years ago. We are currently looking for someone with experience working in a similar hospitality setting with food preparation experience to join our team. The role is ideal for anyone with a passion for good home made food and who would like to have a notable impact on overall customer experience. It is initially an interim position covering a period of absence and is offering part time hours (around 16 per week) including Saturdays.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited too;

Food preparation to meet customer orders Food preparation and replenishment in line with daily/weekly needs Adhering to good food hygiene principles at all times and keeping accurate records Taking both orders from customers and payment on the POS system Serving, interacting and building friendly relationships with the customers Ensuring excellent customer service and experience at all times Clearing tables, washing up and ensuring a tidy kitchen and seating area Stock replenishment and placing orders with suppliers Issue resolution as and when necessary Cleaning down at the end of the day Opening and closing up the premises including cashing up (key holder position)
Personal attributes and experience required;

Previous food preparation experience within a similar setting is essential Will need to hold food hygiene qualification to a minimum of level 2 Ability to work efficiently and to multitask, particularly necessary during busy periods Previous experience within a food preparation environment Positive attitude and a friendly approach Confident and trustworthy Driven to deliver the best customer experience at all times You will be required to achieve food hygiene level 2 no later than 6 weeks into your employment

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
