Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and maintaining station organisation Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food handling and preparation Help with catering events, ensuring timely and efficient service Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout shifts Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner Support the team with general kitchen duties, including stock replenishment and waste management Follow health & safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Skills

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is key Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and meal assembly Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen setting Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and shifts as required
