Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are prepped to the highest standards. Follow recipes and presentation specifications to create visually appealing dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Support catering events by preparing and serving food as required. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or discrepancies.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, with a background in catering or restaurant experience being advantageous. Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is essential. Strong cooking skills with an ability to prepare a variety of dishes efficiently. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a busy kitchen setting. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
