Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and food assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards Support the cooking process, ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and to the correct specifications Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene standards are upheld at all times Assist in serving food to customers or staff in a timely manner Help with catering events, including setting up and clearing down after service Support inventory management by organising supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety procedures Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong organisational skills and attention to detail A positive attitude with excellent teamwork and communication skills Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various roles within the kitchen setting Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing employment is preferred
