Role Overview
We are seeking skilled and motivated
kitchen staff with experience in Indian cooking
to help prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes. You'll work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high culinary standards, consistency, and cleanliness across the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian dishes, including curries, starters, breads, and accompaniments.
Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a high standard and in a timely manner.
Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards in line with company policies and health regulations.
Support with stock rotation, portion control, and minimising food waste.
Assist in cleaning kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment after each shift.
Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues during busy periods.
Follow instructions from the Head Chef and management team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Previous experience working in a professional kitchen.
Proven experience in preparing and cooking
Indian cuisine
.
Good understanding of food hygiene, safety, and allergen procedures.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork, organisation, and communication skills.
Desirable:
Relevant food hygiene or culinary qualification.
Experience in a pub or restaurant setting.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy event days.
