We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our Kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes both brunch and dinner and ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills, learn new dishes focusing on moroccan and mediterranean cuisine. The successful candidate will play a vital part in working alongside the chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our customers, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, and adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
Assist with food preparation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
Checking kitchen stock and providing lists of ingredients needed for delivery
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing meal preparation tasks
Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
Previous experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
Experience with meal preparation, including handling various cooking techniques
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Understanding of restaurant operations and customer service principles
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings or weekends i

We are open to part-time and full-time opportunities but you must be able to work split shifts, evenings and weekends.

Pay: 12.30-13.50 per hour
