Overview


We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Supervisor, ideally with relevant experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, with a passion for food preparation and team management. As the Kitchen Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food safety, and leading a team of cooks to deliver consistent food and service.

Responsibilities



Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations. Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality and presentation standards are consistently met. Maintain inventory levels to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Implement and enforce food safety protocols to guarantee the health and safety of both staff and customers. Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functionality.

Skills



Proven experience in a culinary or hospitality role, with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques. Excellent supervisory skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant and kitchen environment. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure. Exceptional leadership qualities, fostering an atmosphere of collaboration and respect within the kitchen team. A passion for culinary excellence and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.

The position will require working 15 - 20 hours Wednesday to Sunday with the requirement to cover holidays and other events as and when needed. The initial contract is for 3 months with specific targets we are looking to be met. The right candidate who can meet and even exceed the required targets will be offered a longer contract after the initial 3 months

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
