We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our Peoples team. We are a new fast growing business looking to expand.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and food preparation, with the ability to lead and create new menu items. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and delivering exceptional standards.
Duties
Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation meets quality standards.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in menu planning and development alongside the Managers team, contributing creative ideas for dishes.
Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary to maintain stock.
Coordinate with Staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to ensure safe operation.
Help resolve any issues that arise during service to maintain a smooth workflow.
Skills
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a hospitality setting, preferably in hotels.
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and presentation.
Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team while maintaining high standards of performance.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
Effective communication skills to liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
