About the Role
We are now looking to recruit a kind, organised and motivated
Kitchen/Laundry Assistant
to join our team at Lady Dane Farmhouse care home in Faversham on a
part time basis of 25 hours per week!

Job Opportunity
As Kitchen/Laundry Assistant you will be responsible for:
Ensuring that all service users receive the most appropriate food and drink
Undertaking laundry duties within the scope of the position
Assisting with light meal and snack preparation
Ensuring the kitchen and dining room area is cleaned to a safe, hygienic standard

Lady Dane Farmhouse is a beautiful 15-bedded home set in the Kent countryside on the outskirts of the historic town of Faversham. The home welcomes adults with mixed disabilities who need long or short-term residential care. For further information, go to:
Shift times at LDF are:
AM: 08:00-14:00
PM: 14:00-20:00
Long day: 08:00-20:00
LDF provides care on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. This means we value reliable and flexible staff. Essential Skills
Our ideal candidate will:
Have an interest in working in adult care services
Have a basic education including maths and English
Communicate clearly with our residents, adapting to their individual requirements
Show a commitment to your own professional development
Be trustworthy and reliable
Although not essential, it would be an advantage if you have:
Previous kitchen experience, not necessarily gained through employment
A knowledge of health and safety practices within a kitchen environment
